Brand Development

Brand Development is one area of business that’s usually left until last and in some cases overlooked completely. Here at Prize Pig Media we highlight the importance of building a brand for any business.

Branding is Everything

Brand identity is not something that can be developed over-night and it’s one part of marketing that doesn’t get enough attention.  Mainly because there’s no instant gratification and no instant results to measure so most companies or even self employed people will usually leave this until last or over-look it completely.

Questions to help Identify your Brand

If you focus on this area first you’ll set the foundations that are needed for the marketing strategies that will generate strong leads and allow you to build the trust of your audience and gain their loyalty.

But where do I start with brand development you ask?

At the very beginning!

To give you a push in the right direction we’ve shared our brand development questionnaire in order to help guide you through the process of discovering your brand identity.

Your mission statement is a short sentence or two about why the organisation exists, what its overall goal is and identifying the goal of its operations: what kind of product or service it provides, its primary customers or market, and its geographical region of operation.
A vision statement is like a photograph of your future business, which gives your business shape and direction. A vision statement provides the direction and describes what the founders want the organisation to achieve in the future.
This is like your company mission statement, only more specific to your offerings. Just one sentence will do.
Base it on demographics (age, education, income, etc)
This should summarise why someone should buy your products or invest in your services.
Examples: Traditional, established, edgy, strong, enthusiastic, unique, high-tech, fun, serious, original, etc.
Why does your brand matter? These messages should be relevant to your target audience.
Leave any other notes you might have in this box

Having completed this questionnaire you’ll find it much easier to work with web developers, designers, business consultants and even your own team when you know exactly what you want to achieve. Start at the beginning with things like core values, how you want to be perceived and by answering some of these questions your pathway becomes clearer.
